Book Review: The Coaching Habit

In addition to being a science fiction author, I'm also a scrum coach (the software kind) of, well, many years. I've had the good fortune to work with some of the best coaches in the industry and met several who quite literally wrote the book in their coaching areas.

Now, I've never met Mr. Stanier, but I was pleased to see a lot of the learnings I've gathered over the years reflected in these pages. The Coaching Habit outlines a basic communication framework that can make your conversations more powerful and productive, not only with employees, but with co-workers and anyone else in your life who's stuck and needs a little help getting past life's inevitable bumps.

Recommended reading for all managers and Scrum Masters. Parents can really benefit, too.
